Baseball Season

Once again it's time to spend countless hours at the baseball fields watching the girls run around wild and Adam playing with a great team. This year he plays for the Angels. He is having a really great time. The coach feels he is going to be an excellent pitcher. He consistently gets the ball over the plate. Now we just need to develop greater speed. We have invested in some great tools that will help improve his skills. And lucky for him, I know just what sort of exercises he can do every day that will strengthen those chicken arms of his : ) He was on the mound during the second game of the season and did a fabulous job. The coach even awarded him the game ball! I love that he is surrounded by good kids and good leaders that show trust and faith in his ability. And I'm so excited to watch him get better this season.

Dr. Seuss Night at Bridge Creek

Our wonderful librarians put together a great family night at the school this month. It was honoring the life and works of Dr. Seuss. They served us a dinner and sent us throughout the school participating in activities themed around various books written by Dr. Seuss. Adam had baseball practice so he couldn't go but the girls and I had a great time. The librarians are dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2. Adam's teacher was walking around as The Cat in the Hat but I didn't catch up with to photograph her. Clarissa's teacher is the Who on the left. It was a very fun night!

Box in Socks

She was having so much fun here! She was disappointed that this older boy beat her in the race but I was able to convince her that it was fun just trying to get those boxes stacked in socks. How fun is that!

Learned Behavior At Its Best

For those of you who are familiar with the great man Neal, you will find this picture somewhat familiar. But no! This is not my Dad's table- I have simply learned well from the master. (Although he would argue that his papers were "neatly" organized into piles.) What you see before you is the result of me scrambling through this mess looking for some form that one of the kids needed and I thought maybe it was buried under here. I may have found it there, I can't even remember now. Why in the world is this mess even here?! Well, I was shuffling a mess that was on a kitchen counter. I was tired of looking at it. And since I can't see the dining table as I'm walking around the main part of the house it stays fairly well hidden.
The only problem....The counter gets messed up again before I have a chance to clean up the table. This is one reason why we don't have the missionaries over for dinner. Or entertain other families for that matter!
