Facebook Finds

I was talked into signing up with Facebook by my friend Melissa. It's not my favorite thing to do because I don't really know how it all works. (I know you've kidnapped me about a hundred times but I don't really know what that means and what I'm suppose to do. I've been meaning to call you about that one.) Mostly because I'm afraid that the places it is taking me to is going to put a virus on the computer and then I'll have to listen to Todd complain to me about how messy it is. Anyhow, I started putting in names of some friends I had back in college and have found some people. Here's one I'd like to pass along to the rest of you. I met him during our weekly Spanish conversation hours. I use to go to the student center and listen to him play. And it's amazing to see that he now has three different CDs out. I know there are several of my friends that would really enjoy his music. (Especially you Melissa.) So check him out and buy his CDs! (just pause my playlist though before you start the video)

Getting Gay with Kids

Tonight Adam performed with the Bridge Creek Elementary School Chorus. They performed a program called "December in Our Town" It represented Hannukah, Kwanza, the birth of Christ, and Santa Claus. (Did we leave anyone out?)

Adam said that it was extremely fun when I asked him if it was fun to sing tonight. I am so glad that he is able to perform comfortably in front of a crowd. I was never able to do that. My leg always shakes uncontrolably. So I am very proud of him. He's so adorable!

Here they are singing to the Innkeepers to please not turn down Mary and to give the child a place to stay.

He really enjoys performing. He has proven to be very musically talented. I hope we are able to encourage his progress. He really enjoys it a lot.

I did record the program. I'm not sure yet how to post it on the blog but as soon as I do, I will get it on here. Just be warned that it is almost 30 minutes long. So really only grandparents will be mostly interested in viewing the whole thing, but I'll post it up nonetheless.

O Christmas Tree

It is the first weekend of December and whenever possible, that is when we decorate our tree. For the past few years we have been getting real trees. This year we broke down and got an artificial tree. But I hung up a Scentsy Christmas Tree car candle and it smells just like the real deal.
I was sort of forced into getting an artificial tree. Apparently the recycling truck doesn't pick up real trees from the curb in our neighborhood. You actually have to take it to a special center to recycle your tree. I kept driving by the place but kept forgetting to load the tree in the van to take it there. Needless to say we have been storing the tree in our backyard for the entire year. I'm waiting for this year's recycling program to start up again so I can take it in. (I guess I am very serious about my recycling.) Anyhow, I didn't want to take another chance at missing the deadline again. I'd really hate to end up with two dying trees in our backyard. I even packed the thing and moved it to our new house, can you believe it! (Todd just shakes his head at me.) But I'm very excited about this tree. It is a black Friday find. We were still in Ohio and Todd found this deal from Home Depot. It's a $200 tree on sale for $49! I woke up at 6am (which I hated because it felt like a school day) and drove to the store, which opened at 6am. I get there at 6:20 and the only tree left is the display. Well, it's ours now thank you very much. I was able to get back to Dad's and lay back down before anyone else got up for the day. It was a really great find. Thanks honey!

Miss Molly loved decorating the tree. Here she asked Todd to take her picture, the little cutie.

My Ballerinas

It is time to get out the Christmas music. There's nothing better to prance around to than the Nutcracker. I love watching my princesses dance. One of my many joys of being a mom.

Happy Thanksgiving

I loved being able to go back to Ohio for Thanksgiving. Thanks Dad for letting us stay at your house. Although it would have been nicer to have you there too. We had a really great time visiting. But I always love getting away from home. I was thankful that I didn't have to wake up at 6am to get the kids ready for school, for being away from household chores, and daily errands. I was also thankful that I didn't have to go to the gym for a few days. I ate without regrets : )
What do you feed a girl at Thanksgiving when she doesn't eat anything at all. Well, Cookie Crisp cereal of course! We may very well have a new Thanksgiving tradition for our little Clarissa.
Uncle Dan was the life of the party. He carried all three girls around the house. Molly especially loved it. But she is also relentless when it comes to play like this. So even after Clarissa and Abby found other things to do, Molly was still there climbing upon his shoulders for yet another ride. Dan also had a good time. I suppose that's the fun in being the Uncle, they don't go home with him : ) Here are a bunch of crazy cooters playing outside in super freezing weather the morning of Thanksgiving. Why they would do that when there is a perfectly good parade going on in a nice warm house. Well, okay so the parade is boring. And they didn't get to stay out for very long. I sure wasn't going out there with them and Molly was just too young to be out there without adult supervision. I told them they could back out to play when Molly went down for a nap. Lucky for me they forgot about that and were doing other things when she took her nap. Ohio is just too cold for this now southern.
My sweet, little, accomadating Clarissa here was all angry about the game of tag not going her way. Of course I didn't know this when I came out to take some photos. I had to post this one because this is Clarissa much of the time. I not sure what the world did to her to make her so angry. The good thing is that once she moves on she has forgotten all about her hard feelings. She's so sweet to be so forgiving, the little darling.
